You have staff who need roles, permissions and assigned tasks inside the tool.
You want a large integrations marketplace — dynamic pricing tools, lock systems, cleaning platforms — rather than a small, fixed feature set.
Your properties are outside India. Chakrio is built around Indian operations, including GST-aware invoicing and UPI payment flows.
When Chakrio is the better fit
You run one property, or two or three, and the honest failure mode is a booking nobody wrote down.
You will not log into a dashboard to record a walk-in, but you will answer a WhatsApp message, because you are already in WhatsApp all day.

Only for a specific buyer. If you are a single-property owner who found Hostaway too large, too expensive per listing, or too much of a commitment to evaluate without a sales call, then yes — Chakrio covers the booking, payment and calendar-sync part in a much smaller package. If you are a property manager with a portfolio, Chakrio is not a replacement and we would not pretend otherwise.
Does Chakrio push rates to OTAs like Hostaway does?
No. Chakrio syncs availability both ways over iCal, which carries dates but not prices. Hostaway holds direct API integrations that can push rates and inventory. If central rate management is your requirement, that is a genuine reason to choose Hostaway.
Why does Hostaway not show prices?
As of September 2026 their pricing page is a quote request rather than a published rate card, so the figure depends on your portfolio size and what you negotiate. Third-party blogs publish estimates, but they disagree with one another, so we do not repeat them here. Ask Hostaway directly for a number that applies to you.
Can I use both?
There is little reason to. They overlap on the calendar, and running two systems against the same OTA feeds invites exactly the conflicts you bought a channel manager to avoid. Pick the one that matches your size.
