Chakrio vs Cloudbeds
Cloudbeds is a complete property management system — front desk, channel manager, booking engine, payments — aimed at hotels, hostels and B&Bs. Chakrio does a much narrower job: it records bookings, payments and expenses from WhatsApp, and keeps your calendar in step with the OTAs. The right answer here depends almost entirely on whether you have a front desk.

The short version
If your property has a reception, multiple room types, and someone whose job is running the system, Cloudbeds is the category-correct choice and Chakrio is not a substitute. If you are one person with one villa or a small homestay, a full PMS is more machinery than the job needs, and its channel manager alone costs more than the problem.

You run a hotel or hostel with a front desk, several room types, and staff working shifts. This is what Cloudbeds is for, and nothing in Chakrio replaces it.
You need rate and inventory management pushed across many channels through APIs — 450+ connections versus calendar-level iCal sync is not a close comparison.
You want a booking engine, payments, housekeeping and reporting from one vendor rather than stitched together.
You operate outside India, or across several countries and currencies.
You have multiple properties under one brand and need group-level reporting.
When Chakrio is the better fit
You have no front desk, and the "system" today is a notebook, a spreadsheet, or your memory.
A full PMS would be mostly unused — you do not have housekeeping rosters or room-type inventory to manage.
You want to know the price and start today rather than book a demo to find out whether you can afford it.
Your day runs in WhatsApp, and any tool that requires logging in somewhere else will quietly stop being used by week three.

Is Chakrio a Cloudbeds alternative?
For a small property, sometimes. Owners of villas and homestays often find a full PMS is far more than they need and priced accordingly. For an actual hotel with a front desk, Chakrio is not an alternative — it does not do front-desk operations, room-type inventory or housekeeping, and we would rather say so than sell you a trial you will cancel.
How many OTAs does each connect to?
Cloudbeds states 450+ OTAs through API connections. Chakrio connects to any OTA that publishes an iCal calendar feed, which covers Airbnb, Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Agoda, Vrbo and most others — but at calendar level only, meaning dates sync and prices do not.
Why can I not see Cloudbeds pricing anywhere?
Their pricing page shows plan names and features but no figures; each plan has a "Request a quote" action, so the number comes from a sales conversation shaped by your room count, modules and payment volume. Estimates you find on review sites are third-party guesses, which is why we do not quote them here.
We are a 12-room property. Which one?
Honestly, it depends on whether you operate like a hotel. If you have a reception desk, shift staff and several room types, take the PMS. If you are an owner-operator with 12 rooms who mostly needs bookings recorded, double bookings prevented and payments chased, Chakrio will fit better and cost less.
